Overview

ICEfaces EE RAD Integration provides ICEfaces EE (1.8.2.GA_P03 and 2.0.0.GA) support for developers who use Rational Application Developer v8 for ICEfaces application development. This release is built on RAD v8.0.1 but it should work for all v8.x

ICEfaces EE RAD integration tools
ICEfaces EE Runtime Libraries
ICEfaces EE integration for RAD Page Designer (ICEfaces Library Definition project)

This release includes ICEfaces EE integration for the RAD Page Designer, via a new ICEfaces definition project to support RAD Page Designer. The ICEfaces definition project is required to be imported into your workspace if you wish to use the beta version of ICEfaces integration for RAD Page Designer (The use of the RAD Page Designer is optional).

Notes on WAS

This project created via this integration cannot run directly after it is created due to the fact that ICEfaces 2 is based on the JavaServer Faces (JSF) 2 standard. JavaServer Faces (JSF) 2 and its compatible environment is required to run ICEfaces 2. ICEfaces 2 requires Mojarra JSF 2.0 to replace bundled JSF 1.2. For detail on how to configure classloader order on WebSphere Application Server, see "Configure ICEfaces project to run on WAS 7" section in Guide.pdf
Websphere v8 has not been certified to work with ICEfaces EE yet. So WebSphere v8 is not supported in this release.
